Injury woes mount for Liverpool as Alexander-Arnold ruled out for weeks



Liverpool’s title hopes have taken a hit as star defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has been ruled out for several weeks due to a knee injury sustained in the FA Cup victory against Arsenal last weekend.

Reds assistant manager Pep Lijnders confirmed the injury, stating that the influential right-back would need time to recover from a tear in the lateral ligament of his knee.Alexander-Arnold, who played through the entirety of the FA Cup match, will be a significant absence for Liverpool as they compete in the League Cup, Europa League, and domestic cups. Lijnders expressed the impact of losing Alexander-Arnold, highlighting his crucial role in the team’s dynamics and playmaking abilities.The defender’s absence adds to Liverpool’s injury concerns, with Joel Matip, Andy Robertson, and Kostas Tsimikas already sidelined.
