Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Shazia Marri said on Tuesday that her party was still reiterating the demand for the level playing field.
Addressing the public gathering in Sanghar, Shazia said: “The PPP is the only political party who had first started the election campaign. We believe that the first phase of the democracy is to hold the general elections”.
Shazia said: “Even today, we are emphasising the need of the level playing field.”
She claimed: “The PML-N had also started the election campaign after delay. The PML-N is eying merely on specific seats. If the PML-N embraces the democratic principles, then the PPP can mull to join hands with the former”.
The PPP stalwart acknowledged the minorities, saying, “The minorities are also the voters of the PPP which are quite respectable for us. The PPP has always left no stone unturned to talk about the minorities.”
Speaking about Karachi, Marri said: “The people of Karachi want to see the uplift of the new style of the politics. No one wants to see any no go area in Karachi.”
