Several flights originating from Karachi, including those operated by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and private airlines, have faced cancellations, impacting travel plans for numerous passengers.

A total of 19 flights were cancelled, disrupting travel between various destinations. Among the affected flights were Air Sial and PIA services scheduled to fly from Karachi to Islamabad, as well as an Emirates Air flight destined for Dubai.

Fly Jinnah’s flight from Karachi to Lahore and Fly Baghdad’s service from Karachi to Baghdad were also among the cancelled flights. Additionally, PIA’s flights from Karachi to Jeddah and Karachi to Islamabad were affected, adding to the list of disruptions.

Sources from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) attributed the cancellations to significantly low passenger loads, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan. The decision to cancel flights was made in response to the reduced demand for air travel observed during this period.

Passengers affected by the cancellations were advised to contact their respective airlines for further assistance and alternative travel arrangements.
