Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui stresses need for uplifting country

Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui stressed the need for uplifting the country on Saturday.

Expressing his thoughts, Siddiqui said: “It is enough for us to remain along with the masses instead of preferring the presidency or ministries.”

“We have talked about the three constitutional amendments. Sitting in the opposition is the biggest political space,” Siddiqui said.

He asserted: “We have many options.

Earlier on Friday, PML-N leader and nominated prime minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday called on the MQM-P’s delegation.

During the meeting, which focused on crucial political issues, Shehbaz Sharif reiterated the paramount importance of upholding the sanctity of the vote, underscoring the need for all parties to unite to preserve the country from economic turmoil.

Acknowledging MQM’s role in averting potential crises such as default and no-confidence motions, Sharif expressed appreciation for their collaborative efforts.

Both parties concurred on the necessity of prioritizing national interests over political gains, resolving to work collectively towards serving the populace and addressing their concerns.
