JI’s Hafiz Naeem accuses MQM-P of poll rigging in Karachi



Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chapter, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman leveled on Thursday serious allegations of rigging against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) in Karachi election.

In a video statement circulated on social media platform X, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman lamented the alleged free rein given to MQM, accusing them of attempting to seize control of Karachi once again through unfair means.

According to Rehman, throughout the day, polling proceeded without significant disruptions. However, as evening descended, he claimed that MQM operatives began infiltrating polling stations, forcefully occupying them.

“The sanctity of the electoral process has been compromised,” remarked Hafiz Naeemur Rahman, expressing deep concern over the reported irregularities. He emphasized the need for immediate action to rectify the situation and ensure a fair and transparent electoral process.

The accusations of rigging come amidst heightened tensions in Karachi’s political landscape, with various parties vying for control in the city. The allegations made by the JI Karachi chief raise serious questions about the integrity of the electoral process and the fairness of the by-election.
