At a time when geopolitical tensions and technological advancements are reshaping our world, the Global Ministerial Dialogue on science diplomacy held at UNESCO headquarter in Paris, as part of the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development, aims to advance international dialogue on creating a new global framework for science diplomacy that addresses the current needs of society.
In this multi stakeholder High-level Conference on Science Diplomacy Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mumtaz Zahra Baloch led the Pakistan delegation at the inaugural ceremony.

- Science diplomacy is key to finding common solutions to international challenges and promoting global peace.
- Global South continues to face systemic barriers to full participation in the global scientific enterprise. There is a need for bridging this divide, promoting scientific collaboration, and for democratization of scientific progress and innovation.
- Pakistan’s journey in Science Diplomacy showcases its commitment to global knowledge sharing, collaborative research and promotion of scientific innovation for socioeconomic development.
- The international community needs to move towards a Global Compact to build constructive partnerships in science and to advance open and secure science.
