Islamabad (Bilal Javaid):- H.E. Mr. Alfred Grannas, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Pakistan, inaugurated the new Dental Department at Maroof International Hospital (MIH) in Islamabad.
After the inauguration ceremony, Ambassador Grannas visited the facility sections, including the online digital system, radiation control room, waiting area, dental implant facilities, sterilized rooms, and other areas. On this occasion, Chairman Choudhary Naseer Ahmed, CEO Haroon Naseer, and CEO of Centaurus, Sardar Yasir Ilyas, were present, and other esteemed guests also attended the ceremony.
German Ambassador H.E. Grannas commended the hospital management’s dedication to providing exemplary services to the community. He assured continued support for the hospital’s advancement, including the installation of potential orthodontic equipment in the future.
Chairman Choudhary Naseer Ahmed, in his address, emphasized the significance of the new facility of the dental department of MIH, which has been highly anticipated by the public. He highlighted the introduction of Premium Evening Dental Clinics, which offer improved access to quality dental care for working professionals. The Chairman added that the newly established dental department aims to provide top-tier treatment for various dental conditions and introduce a full range of dental care to children and adults, the best dental care to help everyone smile again with confidence.
CEO Haroon Naseer elaborated on the comprehensive range of services available, stating, “Our Dental Department offers all types of dental treatments and procedures under one roof, including oral health screening and care, pediatric dental care, root canal treatments, crowns, bridges, veneers, extractions, surgical treatments, implantology, orthodontic brackets and aligners, and aesthetic dentistry.”
Sardar Yasir Ilyas also addressed the gathering, underscoring the need for government support in the healthcare sector. He urged the government to provide land on lease or at reserved prices to facilitate the construction of healthcare facilities for the benefit of the public.

Prof. Dr. Gulzar Bukhari, Head of the Dental Department, provided a brief overview of the clinic’s offerings to the distinguished guests, including Dr. Mir Waheed, Medical Director; Ms. Rubina Afzal, Corporate Head; Dr. Lamia Yousaf, Medical In-Charge at Soteria Healthcare Solutions; and Naveed Ahmed Khan, Managing Editor of The Daily Spokesman, and others.
